Privacy notice.
What personal data ZXN Studio uses, why we use it, and the choices you have.
Who controls your data
ZinXan AI Ltd is the controller for personal data described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 12451101, at 22 Spenser Crescent, Daventry, England, NN11 9DX.
Contact us at hello@zxn.studio.
What we collect
- Account details such as your name, email address and verification status.
- Billing references, plan status and transaction events supplied by Paddle. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Device names, hashed connection tokens, and connection, last-used and revocation times needed to authorise up to two Macs and let you revoke them remotely.
- Messages and attachments you choose to send to support.
- Technical logs such as request time, IP address, browser information and errors needed to secure and operate the service.
- Your marketing preference and the date you opted in, if you choose to receive product updates.
Your footage and editing projects stay on your Mac during normal use of ZXN Studio. We receive them only if you deliberately send material to support or to a separately identified online service.
Why we use it
We use account, device and billing data to provide the product and fulfil our contract with you. We use security logs to protect users and our service based on our legitimate interests. We retain records where needed to meet accounting, tax and legal duties.
We send marketing only when you consent. You can withdraw that consent from Account & billing or by contacting us, without affecting earlier processing.
Who receives it
We use service providers only where needed to operate ZXN Studio: Paddle for checkout, tax, invoices and subscription management; Laravel Cloud and its infrastructure providers for hosting; and Cloudflare for DNS, security, storage and transactional email. Support providers receive only the information needed to answer your request.
Some providers process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards made available by the provider. You can ask us for more information about those safeguards.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses strictly necessary session and security cookies for sign-in, checkout protection and account access. Your colour-theme choice is stored locally in your browser. We do not use advertising trackers. Paddle may set its own necessary checkout cookies under its privacy notice.
How long we keep it
We keep account and entitlement records while your account or paid access remains active. Billing and transaction records are kept for the period required by tax, accounting and dispute rules. Security logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed to investigate and prevent misuse. Support correspondence is kept while a request is active and then only as long as needed for follow-up or legal obligations.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it unless the law requires us to retain it.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal data. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Email hello@zxn.studio to exercise a right; we may need to verify your identity first.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. If you live elsewhere, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children and changes
ZXN Studio is not directed to children under 13, and a purchaser must be able to enter a binding contract. We do not knowingly collect children’s data through the account service.
We may update this notice when our product or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top shows when the current notice began to apply.
